The Land of Onaira is home to several clans of morphers, and many non-morphers who do not care to join a clan. All of these clans were made to live in peace, made by the Lady Onaira. But sadly that was not to happen as the several clans of morphers are now in constant war, and another clan has been made, the clan of the rebels.
The rebel clan is made up of rebel morphers, morphers who have chosen to go against the Great War, as it is called, and non-morphers have joined them. They are seemingly the makers of peace, but nothing they do has enforced this peace that they have been searching for.
Fifty years ago the clans of morphers were locked in an all-out battle, Dogs against cats, Creatures of Air again Creatures of water, hooved-beasts against reptiles, and the beasts of fantasy against all the other clans.
This war was broken up by a prophecy given by the Lady Onaira herself. She came down from the sky to hang above all of their heads and with her coming she produced a prophecy.
‘A day will come when all shall be still, and the chosen one will make her decision to come to the land of Onaira. She will be marked under her left eye, a curse some say, a blessing denied. Her mind will be strong, her will even stronger. Like a river she will run and like a bear she will fight. Her eyes shall be blue her hair a scruffy black. She shall be of the morphers, a black panther fights back.’ And when she had finished speaking she disappeared into the sky once more.
The morphers all dissipated into the vast Onairan forests to search for this chosen girl, but none of them knew that this girl was not yet among them.
----
In the human world a girl ran out to play in the forest. She was ten-years-old with icy blue eyes and scruffy black hair that went down to her shoulders. She had a black mark like that of a claw and tooth underneath her left eye. She laughed as she splashed into the river, but then cried out in fear as two panthers approached her. They spoke to her, and she understood them. They took her into the forest where the world spun and soon she was gone.
---
Eight years later another baby girl was born, her name was Anarya. She had a small mark under her left eye, and it looked like black fire. Her eyes were a deep green with tints of blue as well. Her hair was also short and black. She was shunned because of the mark below her eye, the mark that everyone believed to be a curse mark. Her parents never told her of her older sister, Lealla, a girl who disappeared exactly one year before the birth of Anarya. But when Anarya turned seven she ran away into the forest and cried out for someone to take her away. She looked up when she heard a motherly growl and looked deep into the green eyes of the panther before her. The world spun and she soon found herself in a different place, the Land of Onaira.
{Extra notes: This story was created five years ago, although I never truly finished the plot line... Now I have finished it and am about to begin writing it out. I hope to actually finish this one!
Also, I have dreamed of this story at least once a month, sometimes once a week, for five years, so it is almost always fresh in my mind.}
