Annelise went over to the side of the balcony. She put her hand on one stone then touched three in a particular order. The stones parted into a path. A secret passage.
Annelise looked through the path that was a dirt road that lead down to the beach. It was on the side of the cliff and travled on down. If you fell off, if you didn't have thick clothes on and you hit the water, you'd be a gonner.
"Would you like to take this way, the front way, or the long way?" She said 'the long way' after peering over the edge of the balcony.
She smiled as she walked over to him and looked up to him. He was about four inches taller than her, give or take a few centimeters.

See! Secrets! Magical type things. Far too many for Hirsch to wrap his head around and remain fully sane in the process. Couldn't one see the crazies taking over already? The stones parted, revealing a dirt path that made its way down to the beach. Along the side of a cliff, it seemed. Oh, how nice. Hirsch loved walking by cliffs after having a few drinks; luckily, he wasn't tipsy tonight.
Long way...
Oh, ha!
"I'd much prefer that way," Hirsch replied as Annelise walked over to him, nodding towards the dirt path. "It seems less likely to kill me," he added after a moment.
Wishing to be blind and wishing to be dead were two very different things. Man kind could do well to learn that.

"Indeed it does," Annelise sasid to him as she walked over to the edge and waited for him to come along.
Annelise enjoyed walking on the beach. It was the one place she was happy. The one place she could think. The one place where nothing else mattered but herself. The one place that was her's.
Annelise walked with the man down the side of the cliff on the dirt path. She ended u ptaking her shoes off half way down. Highheels weren't very comfy when walking down the side of a cliff.
Annelise talked with the man the whole way down. "What is your favorite place in the whole wide world?" She asked him, looking down at the ground as they entered on to te beach.

Hirsch followed Annelise, walking slowly enough to ensure he wouldn't fall on his ass. Any other night, he wouldn't give a damn, but falling on his butt was not a good way to go right now.
"What is your favorite place in the whole wide world?"
Hirsch blinked, frowning slightly as he pondered over the question. There were some people that didn't have a favorite color, you know. Some people that liked black one day, then red, then blue because all their pain had washed away. Some people didn't have a food they liked the most. Some couldn't honestly tell you if the glass was half empty or half full- they may be far and few, but they were there.
Some people didn't have a damn clue where there favorite place in the world was.
And some, like Hirsch, knew the answer changed with every moment of their life.
"Right now...here."

Annelise stopped and looked at him, then smiled and continued on walking with him, side by side. "So is mine," she told him.
Annelise looked down the beach and began to hum a tune that her mother used to sing to her. It was beautiful and it matched her voice pleasently. It didn't sound out of tune, nor did it sound high and squeaky or low and bass-ish. It sounded..... perfect.
Annelise had the gift of music and drawing: something hat didn't run in her family, but she had it.
Annelise continued to hum as they got more near the surf of the water. She put her feet in and closed her eyes. She breathed in deeply and continued to hum.
She looked beautiful as the light hit her just right from the moon.
