'Oh come on.' he said, still smiling cheerfully. 'You don't make any effort to hide your light or your thoughts.' Not much got hidden from Nathaniel. You would have to learn to hide your light and your thoughts. 'It's obvious from your body position that you are lying, and you are also wondering how I know these things. You are also thinking about how your eye contacts...' He paused for a moment. '..Would have been useless in the water anyway because they were made by Hephastus.' he finished triumphantly. He loved showing off. Unfourtunately, once he had realised that supernatural mind-reading powers were not popular among the kids in his carehome, it was too late. It was always to late... He looked down and to his relif, Rach seemed not to be able to pick up his slightly erratic thought pattern. In fact, she was obviously trying to cover up her own astonishment as well as the Sight, whatever that was.
'Come on. Just tell me the truth.' he called down for the second time.

Your not the only one who sees light, I hope you know.... She said to him, a bit in thought. I see the future and things that are going to happen, are about to happen, have happened, and so on and so forth... She said explaining it. It was a hrad matter to explain, but she could do it somewhat well. And yes, my contacts were made by Hephastus so they would be no good in the water seeing as they would just dissolve because of what they're made of. I am a shifter. I come here because its the only place I please myself and nobody else at. I can't remember anything before two years ago, I lost my memory and now am trying to figrure things out. She told him. Good enough? She asked him, now diving into the deep, deep water below.
She stayed under for a couple minutes before she sank down to the bottom and sat criss-crossed with her legs, and her hands folded. She had her eyes open, but then she closed them and tried to relax.

Hmmmm. Diffrent to my thing then. I lost my memory a year ago, so she can't complain! 'Yup!' he called down smugly, and watched as she sat on the bottom of the seafloor in a sulky pose. He copied the same positon and acted like a girl in a mood (Another thing he didn't get about girls; when they were angry with each other, they never sorted it out. They just huffed about the place in a strop. Stupid) 'You finished yet?' he shoute d, and when there was no reply, he got out his pocket knife. It was a beautiful item, which he had had in is pocket on the night he was found. The handle was solid gold, with a roaring lion engraved on the handle. The blade was obsidian with Greek lettering on it. He smiled at it before putting it away and replacing it with a slightly battered blade. Nat was an artist. He loved making things out of bits of wood and anything else he could get his hands on. He fingered a bit of bark, testing it's shape and durability, before setting metal to wood. As he carved, he thought he could notice a faint fleck of colour at the entrance to the valley, coming from the Harbour. He suddenly had an odd feeling to go and confront whatever it was when it disappered around the corner near a column of rocks that had tumbled into the ocean.Trying to ignore his odd sense of disappointment and deja vu, he continued with his task.Soon, a sleek feline shape began to emerge under his calloused, clever hands. An ocelot...That was unusual. Nat normally carved his true form or anything around him. There was definitely no ocelots around here. He decided to keep the figurine, and placed it safely in his pocket, where it bumped against his leg comfortingly. He remembered the girl, and looked down to find she had resurfaced. Well, this should be interesting...

Rachel resurfaced then took a big gulp of pure air then went back down. She sat in the same position, but this time, her eyes remained open for a few seconds longer but then they shut like an oyster with a pearl in its mouth.
Rachel sat at the bottom of the ocean's floor and remained there, not even thinking about coming back up.
She needed to think, and that's what she was going to do.
Why is my life so messed up? She thought. Why must I get into trouble or some troubling situation every time I go somewhere? She kept pondering, but no answer came to her questions.
She let those two questions go and pondered about more of them, still not thinking about resurfacing to the water and air above the break.

Nat started to get very bored. He fiddled absent-mindedly with various bits of stone and acted like nothing was wrong, but he felt as empty as his past, like he was detioriating from the inside, as he thought about that night. His hands shook and his normally warm forest green eyes took on a slightly lifeless look as awful pictures flashed infront of his head. Pictures of the people who had died in that fire, on that night.
People who would haunt him forever...
Snap out of it. he told himself. He looked down to see if Rach was there. But he couldn't see her anywhere. Just incase she was still there, he shouted 'I need to get back (not) See you later!' He shifted into his lion form and loped casually off, only the tenseness of his muscles betraying his fear.
OOC: Sorry about the abrupt ending, I saw you using Racheal in another thread so I thought she was already gone..
