------------------------------------------------------------------- Fiona looked at the lion then pulled something out of her pocket. She snapped her fingers and it turned into a sandwhich. "That good?" She asked as she gave it to him. She had sudenly lost her apitite after thinking what wuld happen if she got home late like she already was. She would probably get beaten pretty bad tonight.
"I take it as you met Katelyn," She said as she nodded towards his scar. She had met Katelyn once or twice. Katelyn had saved her life a couple times. She even knew wabout her parent situation, but Katelyn just told her if she wanted to feel good inside she would have to deal with it. That's the way Kate operated. She made people feel good inside, or she made them crumble inside.

The sadwich dissapered down Nat's throat. 'Thanks,' he said, swiping his tounge around his jaws, suddenly feeling a lot better. His eyes followed the birds across the sky, a longing look in his eyes. His tail thumped on the rock, and he drew his tongue across his mane before turning to the girl.'So, you need help at home?' he said, then instantly regretted it. 'Sorry, it's just if your dad is beating you you should get someone to help you.' he said quietly. 'I know how it feels to have someone beating you, it's happened to me once or twice. He flicked his ears nervously, just in case he had offended her. He was known for startling people with accurate answers, but he doubted this girl was human. Most humans would be a little scared of encountering a talking lion in Salik Subdivision Muse-We Get On by Kate Nash

Fiona looked up at him. She hadn't said anything about her father. "How do you know about my father?" She asked him as she looked back down at the ground and picked a flower from the cold ground and levitated it in her hand. She looked at it and then it started to die abruptly. When flowers were picked out of this field, they died in a matter of seconds. If the fields beauty was taken from itself, no one could have it if the field couldn't.
People often said the field was magical and couold do things nice for you, or confuse you and get you lost in a heart beat. It was like a labrinth almost.

Nathaniel's ears flattened and his gaze broke off the swallows to stare guiltily down at the floor. 'I....can kind of read peoples minds,' he explained. 'I have a habit of kind of accidentally guessing people's minds. Sorry, I really can't help it.' He was so embarresed he shifted back into his human. He instantly regretted it. His clothes were worn and ragged and his shoes were old and dirty. His hair was sticking up from his last night of sleeping out in the open, after being kicked out by his landlord. His forest green eyes bored into the rock, and he awaited a reprimanding, or worse, being hit and left alone. His eyes glanced up at the swallows for a millisecond before looking straight into the girl's eyes. His gaze was very unnerving, like he was looking right into your soul. Which half of the time, he was.

Fiona looked up at the shifter as he shifted then back down at the ground where she scribbled her name in Ancietn Greek. "I know what yo umean, I have a habit of doing that... Katelyn, she is usually found hunting with or hunting Lycan themselves. She can read people's minds if she wants to. You can actually feel her inside your body as she searches. Searches for something like a spark of life. Something that's not in many of us," She said as she looked up then back down slowly.
She looked at him and his scars. "Is that who you met with the Lycan the other night? Is that why you're out here?" She asked him, a bit curious. Katelyn had said that she had another run in with the Lycan race, but she didn't say anything but something about a boy.
