Her muscles flexed as her hooves met the ground, thud thud thud. Her body pulsed with imaginations greatest creation. Something no one had suspected to be more then a silly myth, but she was what she was. A shape Shifter. A unicorn. A human. All of these combined together to form the very person she was.
Kristen galloped along the trail cutting through the field. Yellow flowers zoomed by, being taken in by her speed. She raised her silky head and flaxen mane ruffled, a loud happy noise escaped her. Both of her long lean back legs kicked in the air and then caught themselves as they met earth again.
She raced on.
Running was her passion, the one thing in the whole world that kept her going. It was what burned inside of her! She was born to run!
The silk grey body zoomed through the trail, her speed picking up until the trail cut to a end, she kept running. She burned her own trail through the small delicate yellow flowers. Her only witness was the old oak tree who graceful swaying kept in harmony with her hooves thunder. The place seemed like a small paradise. A heaven among hell? An oasis in the desert? Whatever this place was, it held a part of her no one else could have.
She raced on.
Her muscles flexed pulling her along the uneven terrain. Memories were left in the dust and life fell away, it was her and the path ahead of her. A time of emptiness in her mind, but her heart swelled with ideas and happy times. This was Kristen Michelle Hayl. This was the unicorn, this was the animal racing across the open land. Hair rippling in the wind like a flag.
She halted, a small ledge taking her from her happy place, a sharp left almost threw her off balance and when she regained it she cantered. A light run, a cool down. This was the end of her road. The end of the happiness, for now at least there would be more for her to run later. But not right now. Right now she needed to rest. For the first time since she got her she felt tired. Drained, she had run fifteen miles. Now it was time to rest.
The tree was perfect, although it smelt of tiger, she froze. Tiger? And horse? A tear streaked her face. mother the simple word held a world of emotion inside. She cried, she had come out of her happy place, her imagination into the real world. And it hurt. It hurt to be so real. The world around her was so hateful. It was not her happy place.
A cyan light shone on her. The suns calling for her, it’s message. She understood. Bowing her head and then a fire burned her body. She held still, the fire looked painful, and it was. Very. Her skin melted from her body, everything started to shrivel apart and a new skin weaved over her body. IT was tanned, and thinner then horse skin. Her eyes lolled in their sockets then when everything looked normal, and felt normal.. On a human. Kristen opened her eyes, she was crouching beside the tree now, the wind rushed over her body and blew at the flowers, the suns rays, an odd cyan color, vanished from their spot on her skin and the yellow color came back to shine over the whole field.
A chill ran over her body and she shivered. Her nude body was nothing special. She had shifted before, nudity was nothing new to her. She looked over her shoulder, the bark on the tree rubbed her soft skin and made little strawberries. She closed her eyes, letting the suns beams run over her skin. Never worrying about humans eyes once they saw her naked, in the middle of the field, sun bathing. As weird as it was she enjoyed the sport, almost as much as running. The heat made her drowsy and she forgot her problems. Slowly her memories faded into the wind, her pain and horrors dieing inside. She slept, and inside,
She raced on… 719

Rachel came through the forest and saw the girl and laughed. She threw a pair of clothes at her, hoping to wake her up. "Get some clothes on, will you?" She told her as she continued to the field.
Rachel entered the field of flowers and then sat down and picked a couple. She was happy. Her ring on her ring finger of her left hand glinted in the sun as she moved her hand. It was an engament ring. Rachel wass excited in side and felt free like a bird. Uli, her boyfriend, had proposed to her today and she was thrilled to be getting married to him. He was hot and drop dead gorgeous, but she didn't care what he looked like. She loved him for who he was, and with him proposing, he must love her for who she was also. They were perfect together.
Rachel breathed in and exhaled slowly, with a bright smile on her face. She looked u pat the sky and wondered how a girl like her could be so lucky to be marrying a guy like Uli. She was only sixteen, true, but she loved him unconditionally and he felt the same way.
Uli was a tiger shifter and Rachel was a horse. It's like the lion fell in love with the lamb, but just a bit different. Rachel smelled the flowers the held in her perfect, pale, porclaine fingers. She layed back in the field and closed her eyes with her hands on her stomach with flowers enclosed, like a dead person would lay. She had a smile on her face and she looked relaxed. Something she wasn't without Uli, but now, she just thought of the times they shared together. True, she missed him already, but that didn't mean anything. She was sure he missed her too.
Rachel had a half smile on her face as she thought about the threats and dangers the future holds. Her old ex boyfriend ended up coming back and he said he knew everything about Uli and her , together, spererate, and what would happen if they were seperated. Ryan, her ex, said the last time they met, that he would love watching her kill herself out of mad love. She probably would if something happened to Uli. She loved him that much that if she lost him, she would kill herself. She loved him unconditionally.

Kristen felt the cloths hit her stomach. Yet she could smell the horse. Well it was a horse shifter, she saw that once she opened ehr eyes, because a human sat infront of her. Your a horse shifter? Sorry if i'm wrong but you smell like horse. I'm sure I do to; and sorry I wasn't expecting anyone else, no one comes here usually because city people hate the rural part of the enviroment... Kristen looked at the jeans and button down white and blue shirt. She threw them on and gave a small smile, embarassed.
That quickly went away.
Something was off. A new smell came to her once the wind picked up, tiger. Her eyes grew wide, fear stricken. Her heart pulsed and she sat back down. Her skin rubbed the rough bark, making small beads of blood show, then disappear as fast as they came. Her tears started to roll down her face, silent crys for help on her fare face. What is that smell? You smell it to right? I'm not just a paranoid dork. It's tiger. My mother was killed by a tiger shifter, my father too. Withen weeks of eachother.
She looked at the shifter, she was laying in the flowers clutching them to her chest. A small amount of curiousity burnt down the desire to run from the scent. What are you doing? She questioned, confused and quite rude really. Another gust of wind shocked her body again, chills rolled down her back and she wanted to cry more, no to bawl into her shirt sleeves and run. No she wanted to run, no to gallop. Thoughts ripped through her mind like a wildfire and she thought about abandoning the other shifter and running like the wind, but the other shifter was a horse shifter. She couldn't leave a fellow horse.. Well this sucks.

Rachel laughed as she held her eyes closed as she asked if she was horse. "Why, yes I am part horse, and you yourself are too, I presume? I am actually part horse and something else... I have wings when I shift, you see. I don't know how, but I do," She laughed.
"I'm sorry. I do smell like tiger don't I? I guess that's what you get when you fall in love with one. He's a shifter like us and his name is Uli. He propsed to me today..." She said opening her eyes and extending her hand and looking at her engagement ring. She loved Uli and smiled as she thought of him.
Rachel then sat up, her golden curly locks blowing in the warm breezy air. She looked at the shifter and had a soft smil e on her face. "I'm sorry.. I know how you feel... My favorite anut and uncle were mauled by a tiger... But that's in my past and I have no idea if it's true. I only have six years worth of memory. I am only sixteen, getting married and I think I have a bright future ahead of me.... but...oh never mind." She said as she looked back down to the ground, a soft smile still playing on her lips. "I am the only one besides my father and brother in my family. My mother died of cancer when I was seven and she left me with my dad who was soon taken off to jail for abuse and a couple other things he did to me..." She said as she layed back down in her position she held earlier.
She layed flat on the ground, arms on her stomach clenching flowers in her hands, and her eyes closed. "And I am meditating I guess. Thinking about good things in my life, not dwelling on the past because I know I can't change it. Nobody can. I look to the future een though I have three people out to kill me. My Ex, who knows everything about me and my fiance, then my dad who got out on Bail, then my brother who drugged me after my mom died and pushed me off a cliff during a hurricane while him and my other brother fought. He killed my other brother who was like a second father to me. Then the one who pushed me off the cliff sought me out and keeps tabs on me, waiting for the perfect time to kill me." Rachel said as she sighed.
"Just keep moving on. There's always gonna be another road to take. There's always going to be another mountain to climb. Just keep moving on." Rachel sang in her beautiful voice. It was a short part of a song her mother sang to her as she grew up.. Before she was killed, that is. rachel continued to sing quietly, trying not to disturb the other shifter. Would Rachel's life end dying for love, or in vain? Or will she live on with her love forever in peace. Peace? There really was no such thing with Rachel.

Kristen gulped in, she tilted her head a bit. Why are you so happy for one who has so many wanting her head? If you haven't noticed, I speak my mind. She smiled a bit and watched the girl, listening to her every word as it rolled off of her tongue. She wished that she could be free from dread, to finally be peacful. To not have worries.
So your a pegasus? She smiled and thought about it a second That's awesome. I'm a unicorn. She gave a soft smile. Her attention turned though. A wind ran over the two and she held her head up. The wind ran through her hair and she grew anxious, nervous. She wanted to streatch her legs and run wild. Just a little unsure about the shifter horse pegasus thing beside her. Yes she called the horse pegasus thing beside her a thing, okay that was a long name. Name? Mine Kristen Hayl. I don't enjoy calling you Horse Pegasus Thing Beside me when I think... She smiled, that time it was for a joke. She wouldn't really say that if it wern't a joke, rudeness wasn't somethign she liked to be occompanied by.
The wind unnerved her again. She could taste the freedom on her tongue, but she wasn't about to just ditch Horse Pegasus Thing Beside Her. She smiled, there she did it again. This was entertaining, the name was acually. She dropped it. Her leg started to shake, she wanted to RUN! lemme run! I wanna Run! gah! she whined in her head careful not to upset Horse Pegasus Thing Beside Her. She smiled again, it was to damb funny not to laugh. Somethign was wrong with her, dead serious. She had a problem. She laughed at thoughts in her mind?! I mean who does that!? She laughed. really mentally unstable. She laughed. Gah stop it!
