Uli wanted to cry as he set Rachel down, he could barely stand he was crying so hard. He shifted. His heat burning away, dieing out. He let out a low deep whisle. He had a plan... the minutes ticked by and he cried more. I'm so sorry Rach, I thought if I-I left then he would leave you and I alone. He threatened to kill you, he had a knife to my throat. He couldn't show her the cuts, they had healed but he hoped she believed him.
Finally a merical came, a small compact horse with a larger bay horse galloped to them. Uli rubbed Altai's muzzle and kissed his nose. Rachel, hold on. I have an idea... Uli set Rachel on votre's back and wrapped her in a blanket in Altai's saddle bag, he had prepared. Before he left the ranch he had put a saddle bag on Altai and let the horses run free.
Uli mounted Altai, the horse didn't fool around. Uli held rachel's hand and made Altai trot against Votre. They galloped. Uli holding Rachel in the saddle. The hospital came into view and then the horses were int eh parking lot. Uli jumped down and held Rachel like a baby. He walked in and doctors surrounded him. He handed Rachel over and whipped his face then grabbed a doctors scruff, he had no tolerance for their kind, mortals playing god. But today they would have to. She needs blood... and we have the same kind... Uli grimaced and the doctor took him into a room.
The needle slowly drained Uli of his blood, but not enough to hurt. The needle hurt as his skin tried to heal around it. It would scar. The doctor didn't try and test it before he ran into Rachel's room and held the blood up in a small hook. Uli couldn't see the rest, he had blacked out, but he didn't know why. It just happened, he wasn't hurt, nor tired. But there he was out cold...

Rachel layed in a bed at the hospital, thanks to Uli for taking her there for a blood transfusion. Rachel woke up and was startled as her vision was bright and she loked around. The blood was going back into her viens from the bag that hung with Uli's blood. Rachel looked around. The lights were still so bright.
"Uli..?" She said in a groan that was filled with drowsiness. A doctor came to her side and looked at the bag of blood. It wouldn't be enough the doctor mumbled. She left the room and the bag with the blood was drained almost empty. She hung up another bag of regular mortal blood and then left the room again. Rachel had another needle stuck into her skin as the other blood emptied into her blood stream and ran into her viens to her heart and through arteris and back again.
She blacked out. She turned as she slept. The pain was unbarable. She was screaming inside. Her face was wite like the room around her. Not pale. White.
Rachel tried to think of Uli, but then she also remembered she was poisoned. She felt like jumpng off a cliff again. Hopefully Uli was alright and he was alive somewhere. Where, she had no idea. She didn't really care as long as he was safe.
Rachel screamed again inside as her heart pumped more of the mortal blood into her viens. She wished Uli was here with her.

Uli woke up, drosy and in no mood to be touched. A doctor made te wrong move. He grabbed his pulse and Uli retorted, a hand cought the doctors jaws and he fell back. I'm fine now go. The doctor obeyed. Their kind was sick.
Uli stood up and carfully removed the needle and pulled down his shirt sleeves and walked into the other room, pushing past dozens of hands. He leaned against the bed like he had the night she 'died'. He rubbed her jawline and smiled, a nurse came and handed him something wrapped in tissue, his ring he smiled. The first doctor he acually liked. He slipped the ring on and rested his head on the bed. She's fine to go, just out cold. Uli snorted, and watched them remove needles and IV fluids. Bleh.
Uli stood up, catious about moving her, what if she hated him? He sat back down and rubbed her hair, then pulled up a chair, all the doctors cleared out and he smiled. stupied god playing dummies He fingered his ring and closed his eyes, still rubbing the hair out of her face...

rachel felt someone touching her and wanted to wake up, but the pain inside her was too great. She heard all the docotors leave, but someone was still in the room with her. She hoped it was Uli.
Rachel turned her head again as she tried to deal with the pain inside her mind and body. She shifted and turned towards Uli. She still had her ring on and now Uli ad his. Besides Uli, her ring that he gave her was her most prized possesion. She would never part with it. She would never part with Uli. Not even if she had to take a chance of killing someone. She would stay with Uli.
She thought of another thing and anger raged inside her and cause more pain as she flinched. She thought of Ryan and wondered if Uli had killed him or if he got away.. Or worse...if he killed Uli.

Uli watched her move and then stood up and looked around him. He wrote a note.
Dear Rach,
I'm so sorry. I really love you, I didn't get a chance to go after Ryan after I saved you though and the thought struck me, so I am. I'll make sure he never bothers us again, that is if you still love me?
Votre is in the woods behind the hospital if I'm not back before the wanna-be gods kick you out.
Love, Uli Ray
He didn't leave his last name, he wasn;t mexican. It was a name his step dad made up to get away from cops.. to him his name ended at Ray.
Uli galloped through the trees back to the cliff, Altai struggling through the night. He waited beside the cliff and rubbed the horse. He would be the only witness besides Ryan if he died. To bad, Uli wasn't ready to let go. Some on Ryan, don't be chicken. No more games. Or are you afraid? Man to Man. I won't even shift. No guns either. Hand to hand the way it is supposed to be. Any ways, if I'm withen 21 feet of your gun, your dead. law of guns look it up.
Uli smacked the horses croup and Altai raced off. He would wait in the woods, close enough to hear Uli's deep whisle and run to help him, or find him dead. Either way, the horse would bear witness to the night...
