Katyelyn had a serious face now. It was a sober face. "How do you know if I am a shifter, human, or Herilys?" She asked him. "You've never seen me shift, I have never said I was a shifter, Lilly had never said I was a shifter, you only think that I am a shifter because that I came to help a shifter. How do you not know that I am a simple person who wants to give peace to both races?" She asked him with a smile now playing on her thin fine lips.
"HOw do you know?" She repeated like an echo, but she said it in a sort of haunting whispering voice rather then in a regular talking voice. KAtelyn had her ways to decieve people, she had ways to make them see illusions, she had ways to destroy them.

"Guilty by association," Hirsch hissed, not at all troubled by what she said. She had come to help a Shifter and so she was filth, the grime upon his shoe, the feces left over by a owner that refused to pick up after their dog. He could tell she wanted to deceive him, but Hirsch was not one that was easily confused, nor did he easily change his opinions. Some said it was foolish, dangerous, to stick so tenaciously to your opinions, but Hirsch enjoyed having people realize clever words would not change his mind.
"I do not care what you are. You came. You sentenced yourself to death simply by doing so," he continued on, only allowing himself to say that much, his eyes glittering like hard diamonds meeting the sun for the first time. He would give her props- she tried. But sometimes, you had to know when it was best to shut the hell up.

"Well, have you eve seen a oundary line like this?" She asked him, her evil smile playing on the edges of her lips, threatening to release a hiss.
Her eyes started to water. Her neck started to tingle.
Katelyn had an 'oh - crap!' look on her face.
Everything started to grow colder. The grass began to frost over.
There was the sound of hooves in the distant, but they were getting close. Fast.
Katelyn hoped that it wasn't what she thought it was and that it would just pass on by if she was still enough. But the leader of them promised she would pay the price of revenge at that, so she had a debt to pay, so if she wished that they passed by, no telling her luck, they wouldn't.
KAtelyn stayed perfectly still. She heard the hooves pass by as they turned around. They probably sensed the boundary and fled as they would turn to dust if they entered it.
She got up from where she was kneeling and walked towards the Herilys.

Obviously he hadn't seen one, nor did he care if it made it impossible to kill her here. Did she not understand? Hirsch may be deemed jobless by some, but he had a job; he was a hunter. He knew Katelyn's face, he knew he walk, the way she talked and acted. He knew she was familiar with this Lilly- he knew enough to hunt her, to make her become his prey. His eyes glowed at the very thought. Killing...killing was nice, but the hunt was the best part. The fear in your prey's eyes when you cornered it, defenseless, meaning only to kill, not to negotiate.
Suddenly ,the sound of hooves beating upon the earth filled the air and a chill settled upon Hirsch. Fuck- he was tired of all of this. But the hooves began to go back the other way and he focused in on Katelyn one more, watching silently as she stood and began to approach him.

KAtelyn circled him like a lion circling a person in the wilderness, deciding whether to kill it or not.
"So, how are we going to do this?" She asked him, still wondering.
Suddenly, Katelyn heard sirens from a bit away down the street. They were getting closer.
"Either kill each other in less then three seconds, or wait till the next time we meet?" She asked him.. Still circling him. Now she heard cop car sirens. They would be in trouble if they were caught here.
What if Lilly was found before she shifted back? She couldn't let that happen. There was no way. Once this Herilys left, she would get Lilly and get out of there.
She wasn't going to get anyone else in trouble that night. If she could ger her gun away from the Herilys, then she would have an advantage once the Herilys left. She could pretend like she was already there, because she figured it was the source of the earthquake. No body on the force doubted her. Who said that was a bad thing?
