Katelyn heard her phone ring and hung up right after she heard Lilly screaming. She hopped in her car, just coming home from horse practice, so naturally, she was in her really short Daisy Dukes, and her white shirt with dust smudges on it form the ring. She had her white and black Tennis hoes on and her high tech sunglasses she made.
Katelyn let the green high tech computer in her glasses navigate her to Lilly's house. It was a computer built into her glasses like the ones theyhave on the movie Spy Kids. Katelyn made them herself. HEr friend, Rachel, and her play paintball in each others houses and forests with the glasses they made and they try to hunt each other down.
Katelyn had a piece of gum in her mind and she had her glasses on now. Gum and her glasses helped her think and concentrate.
Katelyn went 40 miles per hour. 70. 80. 90. Then she hit one hundred and finally got to Lilly's street. She pushed it a bit faster then slammed on the brakes, making her drift. She drifted into the middle of the street and stopped right in front of Lilly's house.
She called Lilly using her sunglasses. "Lilly, where are you?" She whispered, still chewing her gum. She had her gun in its holster on the side of her hip attatched to the belt she wore.
She waited for a response back from Lilly.
Nothing yet. She went to the door and tried to open it. It was locked. She took out a clip she had her hair up with. It was more like a bobby pin, but it was still a clip sort of thing. She held the knob and put the clip into the keyhole. She twisted it and turned it and finally she twisted the knob and the door opened. She was inside.
Katelyn had forgotten to put her neckalce on, which enabled her to shift, but only if she had it on. It was impossible for her to shift if she had it off.
Katelyn serached through the house to try and find Lilly. She said something about a Herilys, so she tried to get her as fast as she could. She hoped Lilly was still alive. If she had encountered a Herilys, she might already be dead.

not hearing a responce from Katelyn; Lilly shited back to the White tager she ran dow nthe steps and ran into a tabe lwith a glass vase wit hsome flowers in it. the vase hit the ground and it cut Lilly on the paw. the blood disolved into the water making it look like she was hurt badly. Lilly got up and darted towrds the back door and stalked him. she was silent as the wind on a calm summers day.

Someone else was coming.
The thought did not cause Hirsch to freeze, as it may another being. He had been in too many hide-and-seek situations to simply freeze up. The man hid where he could, outside of the house, his eyes narrowed as he considered his future options. Obviously the girl had called someone over. What was he to do? The man frowned lightly before allowing a smirk to slip over his face. Perhaps he could not kill them both, but he could kill one, easily. He slipped into the house as the other disappeared out of sight, pulling out a large knife he had been searching for. Sharp and dangerous, it could do just as much damage as a tiger’s claws.
He ducked out of sight at the sound of someone coming closer. A vase fell and broke. He imagined the water swirling miserably on the floor. This was beginning to get fun. Hirsch slowly moved forward, away from the house, trying to find someplace that would allow him to get onto the second story without entering. A few steps forward, something told Hirsch to turn around and he did so, holding the knife at the ready, his eyes flashing, a taunting, cruel smirk stretching darkly across his face.
Here, kitty, kitty, kitty.

Katelyn reached for her gun. Only a reflex as she heard a vase hit the floor with a shattered sound.
Katelyn relaxed her grip on the gun that was currently in it's holster, but she could draw it and fire in less then three seconds if needed. Katelyn was used to surprise attacks and ambushes, with her being a cop, she had to get used to them.
Katelyn continued to creep down the hall stealth-like. She learned how to be stealthy and like a ghost on the force. It was something you were required to know. If you didn't know it, it would be kind of hard to be a cop, since you always wanted surprise on your side.
Katelyn contiuned to creep down the hall and made it to the second floor. She touched her glasses and said, "Lilly, were are you?" The glasses got the name, but there was no sign of human DNA on the floor leading anywhere, yet. That was one thing she hadn't yet programmed into her glasses: shifter's DNA that matches with their human form so whether they be in human or animal, she can still track them.
The glasses kept searching as she checked around corners. She still wore her short jean shorts, white top, and her black and white shoes while wearing the black sunglasses and chewing her mint gum.
She heared someone run through the house and out the back door towards the back of the house.
She started to walk quickly, but still watching her corners, towards the back of the house on the second story. She saw shadows, but wasn't sure if they came from decorations around the house, or humans, or Herilys, or shifters. She walked a bit faster now, passing a few windows.
Katelyn stopped in front of a window, her back to it as she searched the other corner for signs of life and Herilys. She found nothing, but stopped dead in her tracks as she heard something close. Her back was still to the window, but she wouldn't dare move. She had to listen.
Katelyn listened, trying to listen at least. She had a problem. She could hear very well, so she could hear things form a very far place away. That's why she got distracted on homework. That's why she did all of her class work at home in her white locked up room with sound proof walls. She could actually only hear herself think for once. No bodyelse's voice, only her own. No one to worry about, but herself.
If surprise was on the enemy's side, what was on her's?
