Hirsch waited for the cat to move. Waited. He rarely moved first, because that put him on the offense, and he found it best to be defensive when the fight began. There was a shadow somewhere that did not belong, but the male paid it no mind as he shifted his weight, more then ready to dart to the left or right. Take a step back or forward if needed, really. In short, Hirsch was ready to move.
The tiger came forward and paused, growling. Hirsch was no shifter, no animal, but the sound that seemed to come from within him was almost feral. What law said a human could not snarl? It scared away enough people. Besides, Hirsch found himself wild enough. As he posed, prepared for whatever attack the foolish shifter offered, she darted towards him. Hirsch reacted purely on instinct, not allowing his mind to dwell over anything. The male went to the left, lashing out with his hand to attempt and stab the animal, cruel laughter breaking into the air. Oh, this would be fun. A dance of sorts. The beast and the man.

Katelyn stoped dead in her tracks. She was still hearing things. She tuned into thoughts. She heard Lilly's, and then a man's. She pressed the buttons on the side of her glasses and then breathed in slowly, then out slowly. She opened her eyes and turned and jumped out the window. She landed on the ground with a thud, but she had fallen from worse spots on a building. And it was only two stories down, the worst she could get would be a spraied or broken foot or ankle. Still, she jumped out, letting her instincts take her over. She was an animal at heart.
She landed on the ground with a thud, and then heard a snap, either someone just stepped on a twig or stick and broke it, or she just broke her ankle. She felt the pain in her ankly now, but she didn't care. She had to help Lilly.
As she hit the ground on her feet, she tucked and rolled next to Lilly. She was there in less then a minute, but was injured in a few spots due to the glass window breaking when she jumped through it.
"Sorry, it was the fastest way down... And your wrong, its man, beast, and woman, thankyou very much." She said first to Lilly, then looking straight into the Herilys eyes said the last part.
She had forgotten about her necklace. It was hanging out of her short short's pocket.
It was starting to glow now that she was near a Herilys.
You'll never be strong enough... You'll never be good enough.. Were the only words that ran through Katelyn's mind.
She was told those exact words by her father, the only other shifter in her family. He had told hre that if she wanted to succeed at life, she had to do her best and actually do something with her life and not sit around and read all day or whatnot. She respected her dad, yes, but that didn't mean she couldn't hate him so much she wanted him dead, now did it? No...
Katelyn crouched, her torso leaning forward, and one hand behind her, and one hand in front of her, to keep her blanaced.
"Don't move, Lilly..." She told the girl that was in tiger form right next to her. "You don't want to be on the deffensive side." She said to her.

The sound of a window breaking. Hirsch allowed his eyes to slip away from the tigress before him for only a split second. Someone else was coming. Another filthy Shifter, most likely. When the newcomer appeared, Hirsch smirked lightly. She was obviously injured. He was fresh and it seemed the tiger had cut herself. Even if the injuries were small, they were injuries all the same. If he could reach them, Hirsch could simply use the previous cuts to create longer lines upon their bodies. Let the blood fall!
Man. Woman. Beast. “Wrong,” the male hissed, “I know what you are, simply because you are here. Shifter. A beast,” he added in a snarl. He noticed something glowing on the female and his eyes traveled to her pocket for only a second. That…he would have to snatch that. But he did not move. Even when she whispered to the other not to move. This Lily seemed a bit hot-headed. What else could she be, to shift so suddenly and attempt to attack one that had not made hostile motions?
And so he taunted her, eyes glittering, “Too weak of a Shifter to handle your own problems? You have to call up a friend. Too stupid to even figure out how to fight on your own,” he spat on the ground in disgust.

Lilly looked up and saw Katelyn jump out of the window. When Katelyn landed on the ground she looked over at ther and have her a confused look as she said "Sorry its was the fastes way down" she looked at her again as the conused look on Lillys face dissapeared slowly then she looked back at the man. Thoughts of her life going through her mind she heard Katelyn say " dont move Lilly" then disobeying her orders she ran towards the man roaring again hopefully this time he wouldnt dodge so she could pin him down and rip his throat. she looked deep into the mans eyes and slowly but surly ; slowy the mans face turned to her mother's face. she skidded to stop. her huge white paws caused the ground to fly up into the air and she mumbled " momma? im sorry i didnt want to kill you i did it for my own good." her blue eyes filled up wit ht water as one tear fell down her white and black stripped muzzle.

Katelyn saw that Lilly went to charge, but ubruptly stopped. The Herilys looked like he was enjoying this. She wouldn't give him the enjoyment of killing both of them, because sure as hell exists, Katelyn wasn't going to be killed by a Herilys. Not in this life time no. And neither was Lilly going to be.
Katelyn ran ahead of Lilly and was in front of her, a lethal position. "You touch her, and you dead. You try and grab her necklace, and you'll be past dead. Say hi to Hades for me." She said after she put the necklace on Lilly. Lilly was now able to shift into a German shepard and a tiger. But if Lilly got hurt while she was a German shepard, Katelyn would be hurt. The spirits were tied together.
After she put the necklace carefully on Lilly, she lunged at the Herilys, hoping to land on top of him. "I am no shifter. That was a gift I was returning." She lied, not even showing any emotion on her face but rage. When she lied, there wasn't even a glint in her eye like she was telling the truth and not a lie.
All Katelyn wanted ot do was skill this Herilys for scaring or hurting Lilly, which ever it may be.
Katelyn still had her glasses on, but she wouldn't take them off. Not even to reveal her beautiful silver eyes.
Katelyn still saw that Lilly was frozen up and still, made her progress on lundging at the Herilys. Down with the Herilys. Up with the shifters. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Word count: 275
