Katelyn clicked her tongue. She slowed Thunder Hooves the horse down and stoopped competely. The other two horses behind her did the same.
She pet THunder Hooves and moved back to Midnight THunder. "Sorry girl, your not strong enough yet to carry me and run..." She said as she pet her muzzle and laughed.
"Okay, Thunder Jasper. Let's see waht you got today, shall we?" Thunder JAsper bucked and neighed in delight. KAtelyn put her forehead on JAspers and looked him in the eye. She spoke what seemed like elvish or something and then got onto his back without a saddle. "We're riding bareback today, boy." She said as she kicked his thigh with her boot. "Go!" She said laughing at the same time. Thunder Jasper bucked up on his two back legs and then came down on the ground with a thump. Jaasper kicked off from the ground and jumped. KAtelyn headed towards the forest and jumped over the property fence. 'Come on Hooves, come on, Midnight!" She shouted behind her.
"Time to kick it up a notch!" She said to them as the jumped over the seven foot fence and entered into the forest.
Katelyn sensed another shifter nearby, but didn't stop to do anything. If Katelyn liked anything more then driving her fast car, it was showing off.

It seemed like this police girl was trying to show off. Kaitlyn didn't care. She had done the most stupid thing-gotten off her horse. It was like giving her a free meal. Stupidsaid Kaitlyn in her head, expressed only as a low snarl that escaped from her mouth. She tries to interfere with this hunt, and ill kill her if I have to. She will try and protect her horse like the stupid person she is. I can't trust her
You can't trust anyone said a small voice in her head.
'SHUT...UP!!!!' This sounded as an intelligable roar, but it did not make the girl turn around to see if her precious ponies were in danger. Strange. She began to run towards the slightly nervous horse, flicking her ears back and baring her long, sharp canines. The horse suddenly let off a high, thin wail and tried to run away. Too late. Kaitlyn was already streaking towards the horse in short sharp bounds, talons outstretched...

Katelyn heard a screach from Midnight Thunder, the youngest horse. Katetlyn turned around and saw an animal chasing them. It was more then likely the shifter that Katelyn sensed. Katelyn told her horses a few words in elvish and then stood up on Thunder Jasper. She outstretched her arms for balance. She stood on her two feet on the bareback horse. It was a trick she learned to do for a rodeo last week.
"Now!" She told the horses. The horses kicked into high gear. They had to. It was a command from Katelyn.
Katelyn leaped off of her horse at the fast speed they were going she would have broken an arm or at least a bone or two if she fell. Katelyn leaped into the air, hands forward. She exploded into a ball of blue light with vines ging around her arms and legs and waist. In the waking there was a White, huge, geerman shepard dog in her place.
Katelyn drifted on the ground and leaped again. She collided with the ocelet and tried to knock her out of the air. She growled and hissed a non dog like hiss. It was more like a monster's hiss. She had learned how to do it form a special book she had at home. It was called a frighteneing quake hiss. It could firghten almost any one. But there were a few exceptions. But nonetheless, Katelyn let an ear piercing hiss from her lips.

What the....
The German shepard knocked Kaitlyn off balance. She stared at it in amazement. The girl could do what she did? How?
I'm not alone! There is someone who understands! she cried to herself
Then she came back onto defensive mode. Whoever this girl was, she had just taken her hunt. BIG mistake. She growled soflty and waited for the animal to be distracted by the hysterical horse running about behind them, tossing it's mane and letting off high-pitched whinnies. Instead the German Shepard let off the most odd and terrifying growl Kaitlyn had ever heard in her life. It stirred something deep in her brain. She thought it was called the flight or fight instinct. Her paws were tugging her too a thicket of thorns near the end of the field, where she could find a less well protected prey, but at the same time she wanted to shift, find a sword(a sword?) and cut off the stinking creature's head. In the end she did neither.
She shifted, faced the dog in a cat-like defensive pose, ready to shift, and asked her 'Who are you?'

Katelyn had her eyes on the shifter as her muzzle slipped up in a snarl. She shifted back, fully clothed and all. It was something she learned how to do when she was little.
"Katelyn, and you are? Sorry for interupting you, but these horses are taken." Katelyn said to the other shifter, still ready to shift. Her necklace's glow started to fade as she didn't shift again. It turned blue when there was a Herilys by, or when she shifted. That's why she glowed.
Katelyn looked the animal over. It was pretty well musclular, a good athletic shifter by the looks of the animal. Katelyn looked the shifter back in the eyes. Katelyn wasn't one to judge someone, but this shifter had made a big mistake on trying to attack a horse. One of her horses at that.
