How much more rubbish can my life get?

The shifter's light was pulsing a deep burgundy. So much for the cool, calm exterior.

'Why would it matter to you? Dosent matter to anyone else.' she muttered. 'Ill stay away from your stupid pets if that's what you mean.' Kaitlyn had a cat at her house, but he wasn't a mindless pet. Amun was her only friend, and he hunted for himself. Kaitlyn despised animals who depended on others. They didn't need to.

'Look, I can see your light, so don't play cool with me.'
Damn Kaitlyn had made a promise to herself not to mention the lights. Last time she did, she had to go see a shrink. She had to break out of a police car, for Christ's sake. Another reason not to trust the police.
'Just pretend I didn't say that. My names Kaitlyn. Now what first, police or headmaster? Not that i'll be sticking around for too long.'
She tensed her leg muscles, preparing to run. Fast.
OOc: can I make a new character? This one is gonna be stuck here for a while, it seems.

OOC: I saw your other post... so..is he a cat, or a shifter? I am a bit confused on that.. If he is a cat then you don't have to make a bio for him, if he s a shifter you have to make a bio for him...... Did that help? -has puzzled face on right now- Sorry I am tired I just got back from a late movie... Percy Jackson on opening day. Phew. xDD

Katelyn chuckled and turned a circle laughing. "They can hear you, you know? They're not stupid, and they're not pets. They are my life. And no, not figurativly speaking. Litterally. You hurt them, you hurt me.

"What do you mean? You can see lights too? I can only see them when I shift, not in human form....." Katelyn said narrowing her eyes, ready to pull her hidden sword out.

Katelyn bent down on her knees and pulled out a knife. She cut a blade of grass and put it in her palm. She held her palm out straight and then she blew on the sliver of green in her hand. It turned into blue mist and disappeared in the wind as the breeze blew a warm coming spring breeze. It was fresh.

That was a sign. Fresh air never came here unless..... Unless.. No it couldn't be. Unless one of the gods was around.

Katelyn looked at the grass around her. Katelyn looked at the other shifter and smiled. She only said one word, "Artemis." Katelyn, with that, continued to smile as she felt the earth warm up with her presence.

Oh great. another crazy person.

Kaitlyn had just about had enough of this person. She tensed her legs, but just as she was about to run, she saw a faint forest green light coming over the rise of the field.

Amun!

Kaitlyn! Amun's purring voice sounded directly into her head I was so worried! I got your message but...there was a thrush and i was sooo hungry... He tailed of as he caugt two scents at once.Half human-half dog. Artemis. Close.

'What???!!! Who the hell is Artemis??' Kaitlyn sounded out loud for Amun's as well as Katelyn's benifit. Just saying the name make the animal part of her slightly awed and afraid. Who is Artemis? she sent to her now silent friend, who was standing very tall and straight.

Well, thats just great. Now my best friend has become crazy. Ill just sit here and wait then....

Katelyn was set aback by the question. "Who is Artemis?" She looked at her like she was crazy. "Artemis, godess of the hunt. Godess of the wild, you know, twin to Apollo, the sun god?" She told her, still looking at her straight in the eye.

Some said the eye was a doorway to the soul, some thought that they were just weaknesses, and some.... just thought they were an advantage that could only be used if you can see through the mist. What would eye before if you couldn't see everyone as they truley were?

Katelyn sometimes pondered upon this question, but then she saw Artemis walking in the field, coming towards them.

Artemis looked at Katelyn and spoke in her head just like she could do with other shifters. "Hello, daughter," Artemis nodded. She looked over to Kaitlyn and then back at Katelyn, "What seems to be the problem, my dears?" She said in the most soothing voice you've ever heard of.

Katelyn had never seen Artemis but twice in human form, at other times she was a deer or in her true god form, which humans would burn if they saw.

Right. Greek Godess Artemis(Did Kaitlyn even belive in that stuff anyway) comes walking up to you in the middle of a field. What do you do? Nothing, in Kaitlyn's case. Just stand there with your mouth agape in sheer astonishement.

But how can a goddess actually exist? Would a goddess make my life the misery it is?

But Kaitlyn knew this was no fake. She saw the woman elegantly walk towards her and immeadiately felt her mind cloud over in a black rage. As she struggled to repress her anger and confusion- well wouldn't you be confused?-she felt a light brushing of cat fur around her ankles and looked down to see Amun purring reassuringly at her feet. Her anger suddenly cleared away as Amun spoke in her head Calm down Kaitlyn. She hasn't done anything to you.
If she hasn't done anything, how do you explain my whole life?Kaitlyn demanded angrily, but already she was relaxing and as she turned to face the godess(she still couldn't belive she was meeting a Greek godess) she heard a voice in her mind that reminded her of cool water tinking from a mountain spring.
Greetings, lost one. I have looked forward to meeting you. You have many gifts that you know not of. I hope to meet you many times over the uncovering of your past and future
What do you mean?asked Kaitlyn, bewildered, but the voice had stopped and the woman in the clearing began to speak.
