Katelyn bowed before her mother. "Artemis," she said as she bowed. Katelyn smiled and approched her then gave her a quick hug and backed off to give her her room. "Nothing is wrong, just a little mix up."
Artemis looked at both of the girls then to the forest where the horses left. "I see that..." She said returning her gaze back to the girls.
"I know what happened, I know what will happen, and I know what is never going to happen." She said looking at the other girl, Kaitlyn. What Artemis had said had a double meaning to it this time.
"To what brings you here, M'lady?" Katelyn said trying to think that this was a good visit on good cicumstances and not bad ones. When Artemis was mad... No body was happy. Not even Zeus.

'Just to bestow a gift upon the young shifter here' One elegant hand held out an object lightly wrapped in linen. Confused, Kaitlyn took it, wondering about the strange words uttered by the godess of the hunt earlier
She unfurled the linen.
Something heavy thudded into her palm.
It was a knife.
'Talk! Or i'll use it!'
'Please! Just leave me alone!'
'What is it FOR!!!'
And the screams started.....
Kaitlyn fought for breath. Her fur covered flanks heaved as she tried to regain control of her memories.
No... You are NOT SEEING THAT!!!
Embaressed, she realised she had accidentally shifted. A flash of blue, her eyes blased burnished gold for one second more, and faded to thier human green.
'Sorry...' she panted as she noticed Kaitlyn and especially Artemis looking at her with, in Artemise's case, more than confusion.
She looked at the...knife with care for the first time.
It's hilt was silver, with a roaring ocelot head etched in gold with topaz eyes. The blade was solid emerald with greek letterring on it.
Kaitlyn was speechless for the second time after meeting Artemis. It was by far the most precious thing she had ever seen in her entire life.
'I am sure we will meet again.'
And with that, Artemis was gone.

Before you leave, mother, may I have a word with you? She asked Artemis before she turned to leave.
Artemis only nodded then walked to the side of the three of them. "What is it, my dear?" She asked Katelyn. "Its a few upcoming events..... The war, mostly.." Katelyn told her as she paced. "What about it?" Artemis asked. "Is it really going to happen?" Katelyn asked her, now looking into her eyes. Artemis's eyes were just like Katelyn's: silver. A beautiful breath taking color of silver.
Artemis just looked out towards the mountains and sighed. "I' don't know that my dear, many desicions are being made, not even Zeus knows that yet."
Katelyn lookde down at the ground then was hugged by Artemis once again. 'Good bye, my daughter.' She said into her head. "I'll see you soon, I promise." She said. Katelyn went back to the other shifter and told her to close her eyes. After the both had secured their eyes shut, Artemis dissappeared in a ball of briht burning golden light and vanished.

Kaitlyn turned to face the other shifter 'Right, I think I have had just about weirdness for today. My whole life has just been turned upside down, I found out that Greek gods exist and I was given a solid silver knife as a hello-present. What is this all about? Are you like half-godess or something? Because if you are, just leave me alone, alright? You know too much about me, and I know to much about you.'
Her eyes traveled down to her trusty friend, still winding around her legs in sheer exictement.
'Im sorry I tried to kill your horse, but I just need to pretend this never happened, okay? You can have this.' She handed the knife to the girl, not bothering to cover the needle-sharp point, and sat down on a nearby log.
She started to cry silently, tears glinting like diamonds as they left a glistening trail down her cheeks.

Katelyn looked at the sword that was now on the ground. She beant down to pick it up, but an animal flashed before her eyes like a memory or vision. She moved her hand back from it and was wide eyed. The Dagger of Redemption. Artemis just gave this shifter a prized possesion of her's. Katelyn smiled. This shifter would be part of the battle descisions with her. They would fight along side together, as a team.
Katelyn pulled out a cloth from her pocket and scooped the dagger up in it and wrapped it around it.
Katelyn was careful not to touch it. Only the person who it was given to could touch it without getting burnt.
Katelyn rose back to full height and walked over to the otheer shifter and sat beside her. She held the dagger out and said, "Many things are to come, its best that you trust Artemis and I.... We will see each other again, in an upcoming event that I fear is coming soon. Very soon and fast....." Katelyn said as she looked out to the horizon. The sun was starting to set and the sky was turning orange.
